Umahori Station (馬堀駅 Umahori-eki) is a train station in the city of Kameoka, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

Torokko Kameoka Station, the terminal of the Sagano Scenic Railway, is approximately 500 meters from Umahori Station.

Layout

The station has two side platforms connected by an overhead bridge. Platform 1 is for trains bound for Kyōto and Platform 2 is for trains bound for Kameoka and Sonobe. The ticket gate is attached to Platform 2.[1]

History

The station opened on July 20, 1935. On March 5, 1989 the station was moved as a result of the opening of the new line. The old line is now used for the Sagano Scenic Railway.[2]
