Umberghar امبرغهر is a small village located at coast of Vashisthi River(Dabhol Khadi) in Ratnagiri district in the state of Maharashtra in India. It is 256 km away from the state capital of Mumbai.
Geography
Umberghar is located about 31.5 km from Dapoli. It has an consistent elevation from Coastal region to Hilly region. As part of the Western Ghats, the forests are evergreen, consisting mainly of tropical forest. Alphonso mangoes, cashew Nuts, Jack fruit & coconuts are grown commercially in this area.
Main Spoken language is Kokani. Most of the people belong to single large family with common last name called Dabir.

The Village has a very old school named Zilla Parishad Full Primary Urdu School Umberghar. Mostly Students travel to Dapoli or Mumbai for Higher Education.

Umberghar Jama Masjid is very beautiful Masjid located in the center of village, where five times prayers are performed by villagers and it is the place for general gathering.
