Union of Nazarene Yisraelite Congregations

The Union of Nazarene Yisraelite Congregations (UONYC) is a religious organization that was founded in 2000 by Sholiach Moshe Y. Koniuchowsky, Rabbis Edward Nydle, and Thomas Mitchell. It is made up of more than 60 congregations. The main congregations are B'Nai Avraham, Ottumwa, Iowa; B'Nai Yeshurun, Kittanning, Pa. In 2004, Sholiach Koniuchowsky resigned from the Union to form a separate organization. Rabbi Nydle is the Nassi or president and Rabbis Nydle and Mitchell are board members and directors. Rabbi Rob Miller of Congregation Agudat Bris in Texas is the organization's traveling shepherd.

Tradition

The UONYC keep the Jewish holidays (including Sukkot), follow Jewish religious laws, the Torah, etc. Like Christians, the UONYC believe Jesus (Yahshua) is the Messiah.
