The University of Finance and Administration (Czech: Vysoká škola finanční a správní o.p.s., VŠFS) is a private business school in the Czech Republic. It was founded by the Bank Academy and Czech Coal Group in 1999 and was one of the first private business schools in country. It has had full university status from the accreditation committee of the Czech government since 2009.
History
- 1998 - According to the new Tertiary Education Code 111/1998 Sb., private schools can offer education
- 1999 - University of Finance and Administration was founded
- 2001 - New campuses in Most and Kladno were opened
- 2002 - Cooperation with City University of Seattle, USA started
- 2004 - VSFS entered program Erasmus (University Charter) European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)
- 2009 - VSFS received state approval for doctoral program and became a university
