The University of Kent Rowing Club is the rowing club of the University of Kent based in the UK on the River Stour. Founded in 1966, the club has regularly competed in competition and have been moderately successful.[1]

Boathouse

The Somerset Maugham boathouse is located at Plucks Gutter on the River Stour, outside of Sandwich. The boathouse is a 20 minute drive from the university campus. Inside the boathouse are changing rooms and a crew room with sofas and cooking facilities.

All land training takes place in the University of Kent's gym in the centre of campus, with access to club ergo's on the balcony of one of the sports centre's halls. The club provide all members with a workout routine including a weight training and circuits. The club has a director of rowing, Mike Kennedy, who acts as the club coach.[2]

The club rowing colours are ivory, navy and burgundy.[3]
