University of Strathclyde Department of Government

The School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Strathclyde in Strathclyde, Scotland, is one of the leading political science departments in the United Kingdom.

The department was formed in 1965 as the Department of Politics and has been headed by Allen Potter, John Mackintosh, Richard Rose, Jeremy Richardson, Brian W. Hogwood, Gerry Stoker, Mario Diani, David Judge and James Mitchell. Currently the Head of Department is Professor James Mitchell. In 2010 the department of Government and the European Policies Research centre merged to form the School of Government and Public Policy.[1]
