Τhe University of Western Macedonia (UoWM; Greek: Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας) is a multi-campus university in Northwestern Greece. It was established on 2004 by four departments that had previously formed part of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Departments
As of January 2016, UoWM consists of the following faculties and departments:
Faculty of Educational Sciences:
- Department of Elementary Education (Florina)
- Department of Nursery Education (Florina)
Faculty of Engineering:
- Department of Mechanical Engineering (Kozani)
- Department of Engineering Informatics and Telecommunications (Kozani)
- Department of Environmental Engineering (Kozani)
Faculty of Arts:
- Department of Applied and Visual Arts (Florina)
HQAA evaluation
An external evaluation of all academic departments in Greek universities will be conducted by the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency (HQAA) in the following years.[1]
