Uppada Beach is located 5 km (3.1 mi) from Kakinada in East Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. APTDC undertakes the developmental activities in order to promote tourism.[1] It is also known as a fishery spot, with catches such as prawns.[2]
Cyclone effects
After the beach was eroded by Cyclone Helen in 2013, a retaining wall was built to protect from future damage.[3]
