Uroplatus ebenaui, commonly known as the spearpoint leaf-tail gecko, is a species of lizard, an arboreal and nocturnal gecko, which is found on Nosy Bé island and in western and northern Madagascar.[2]
Etymology
The specific name, ebenaui, is in honor of German zoologist Karl Ebenau.[3]
Habitat
U. ebenaui lives in tropical rain forests and dry deciduous forests.
Description
U. ebenaui is the smallest species of Uroplatus and can reach a total length (including tail) of 75 mm (3.0 in).
Taxonomy
Uroplatus ebenaui may be a complex of species.
