Uttam Ghoshal
Uttam Ghoshal is an Indian-American scientist in the field of thermodynamic electrical engineering, notable for cooling green technologies with applications in green refrigeration and solar power generation. He founded Sheetak Inc. which received funding from ARPA-E.
Background
He received his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley with T. Van Duzer as his advisor. Prior to Sheetak, he was a Vice President at Cypress Semiconductors, was the founder and CTO of nanoCoolers until its closure, and was a Senior Researcher Staff member and Master Inventor at IBM.
