Uttara-kuru (band)
Uttara-Kuru, is a Japanese band that combines sutra recitation with modern pop, lute, and synthesized sounds. Their music, which fits under no distinct genre, is imbued with earthly feelings of relaxation. Seiichi Kyoda and Kazumasa Yoshioka are the primary creative forces behind the band.

Trivia
- Both of Uttara-Kuru's CDs are available for purchase at the Japanese department store Mitsukoshi in Epcot's Japan pavilion. Two of Uttara-Kuru's songs, Falling Though a Cloud and Our Life, are played as background music throughout Epcot's World Showcase as a preshow to IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. This fact has contributed greatly to the band's public exposure.
- "Uttara-kuru" is a Buddhist term which means "Shangri-La," or paradise.
