Väinö Kunnas
Väinö "Wäinö" Ilmari Kunnas (12 April 1896 Vyborg - 10 February 1929) was a Finnish painter.
Life
He first studied drawing Vyborg art-school years 1912-1917 and worked for a while decorative painter in St. Petersburg, but moved to Helsinki in 1920, where studied at the Finnish Art Society drawing school years 1920-1921.
In 1924, Kunnas married the painter Sylvia Alice Karlsson and in the same year their daughter Kirsi Kunnas, was born. Kunnas died suddenly in 1929.[1]
Kunnas was an artist and a modern expressionist stina near the torchbearer. He described his works, the urban environment and literary persons. In addition to the work of a painter Kunnas worked as a draftsman in an architect offices. Kunnas parents were painters Mikko Kunnas (originally Sprout) and Helena Varonen.
