V473 Lyrae is a variable star in the constellation Lyra. It is an unusual Classical Cepheid variable with a range of 5.99 to 6.35 and a period of 1.49078 days.[2] It is unique in that it is the only known Cepheid in the Milky Way to undergo periodic phase and amplitude changes, analogous to the Blazhko effect in RR Lyrae stars.[3] At 1.5 days, its period was the shortest known for a classical Cepheid at the time of its discovery.[4]
