Fighter Squadron 15 or VF-15 was an aviation unit of the United States Navy. Originally established on 1 September 1943, it was disestablished on 20 October 1945.[1]
Operational history

On 20 June 1944 while deployed on the USS "Essex, the squadron participated in the Marianas Turkey Shoot and Air Group 15 (AG-15) commander Cpt David McCampbell shot down 9 Japanese aircraft.[2]
