Vadim Muntagirov

Vadim Muntagirov (born 1990) is a Russian ballet dancer. As of May 2014 he is a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet in London.

Early life

Vadim Muntagirov was born in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Both of his parents were professional dancers.[1] He trained at Perm Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School.[2]

Career

In 2006, Muntagirov entered the Prix de Lausanne competition.[3] He won a scholarship and chose to attend the Royal Ballet School.[4] Upon graduation from the Royal Ballet School in 2009, Muntagirov joined English National Ballet.[1] He was promoted to first soloist in 2010, principal in 2011 and lead principal in 2012. He joined the Royal Ballet as a principal in February 2014.[2]
