Valeriy Chaly (Ukrainian: Чалий Валерій Олексійович) (birth: July 1, 1970, Vinnytsia, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian diplomat. Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States (2015).

Education

Valeriy Chaly graduated from Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University, historical faculty (1992); Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Institute of international relations, faculty of international law, postgraduate course (1995).

Career

From 1995 - he worked as a senior consultant, helper and reviewer Group to the President of Ukraine; from 1995 - he was director, Razumkov Centre of the international legal programs; from 1997 - he worked helper of deputy secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine; from 1999 - he was in position of director Razumkov Centre of the international programs; from 2000 - he was an independent consultant in Committee on foreign affairs Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; from 2006 - he was deputy of director general, director International programs; from 2009 - he worked deputy of Minister foreign affairs of Ukraine; from 2010 - he was deputy of director general. From 2014[1] - he was deputy of head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine.[2]

From 10 July, 2015[3] - he is Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States.
