Valley of the Dolls is the second studio album by British punk band Generation X and was produced by Ian Hunter.[4] The album is only indirectly related to the novel and film of this name, and the title cut is an original song. The album contained the UK hit singles: "King Rocker", which reached No. 11 in the UK Singles Chart in January 1979,[5] the title track "Valley of the Dolls", which made No. 23 in April of the same year,[6] and "Friday's Angels", which got to No. 62 in June 1979.[7]
