Van Gogh is an upcoming biographical film covering the entire life (from birth to death) of legendary Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. It is directed by award-winning Swedish director Daniel Fridell[1] and written by Kira Madallo Sesay. Daniel's previous films, Say That You Love Me and Beneath the Surface, both won Guldbagge Awards (the Swedish equivalent of the Academy Awards). The producers of the film are Kira Madallo Sesay and Emiel Pijnaker. It is produced by UK film production company Starry Night Ltd., in association with Kalliope Films. The writer and filmmakers have spent over six years researching the life of Vincent Van Gogh in preparation for the film. This includes traveling to each location where Vincent lived or visited. During their time spent, the filmmakers uncovered such things as hidden documents, archives, police reports, eyewitness testimonies and evidence. From their research, the filmmakers have discovered new information about Vincent Van Gogh which will be revealed for the first time in the film.[2]
