Vanaja Girija is a 1994 Tamil comedy film directed by Keyaar. The film features Napoleon, Ramki, Kushboo and Mohini in lead roles. The film, produced by Meena Panju Arunachalam, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 16 December 1994.[1]

Plot

Anand (Napoleon), a veterinarian, and Raja (Ramki), a doctor, are brothers. Their father, Ramanathan (Visu), is a rich retired businessman.

Vanaja (Kushboo) and Girija (Mohini) lives with their mother (Kavitha), their father Shankar (Nizhalgal Ravi) escaped when they were young because of Ramanathan. Vanaja and Girija decide to take revenge on Ramanathan by charming their sons.

Production

Initially Meena and Roja was selected for the title roles and both reject the offer to act as elder sister role and opt for younger sister role and finally Kushboo selected for Vanaja (elder sister role) and Meena selected for Girija (younger sister role). After hearing Ramki is the pair for he, Meena opted out of the film due to her star value for selecting heroine roles only with top actors.
