Vandana Jain
Dr. Vandana Jain is an Indian Cornea, Cataract and Lasik Eye Specialist. She is the founding Director of Advanced Eye Hospital in Navi Mumbai.
Medical Training
Vandana was born and brought up in New Delhi. She received her undergraduate medical training from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College. She went on to pursue her residency in Ophthalmology from the Guru Nanak Eye Centre which is affiliated with MAMC. Dr. Jain further completed a long term fellowship in Anterior segment services from the prestigious LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

- Being one of the few ophthalmologists to have received training exclusively in corneal diseases, she is oft quoted in leading newspapers and magazines.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
- She is also a columnist for Deccan Herald, a leading Indian newspaper.[8]
- She is also a health expert and columnist for DNA - Daily News and Analysis; a Mumbai based English daily.[9]
Awards/Recognitions
- Winner of Delhi University's Gold Medal in ophthalmology, 2004; awarded to the best outgoing resident amongst all medical colleges under Delhi University.[10]
- Winner of LV Prasad Eye Institute's Best Outgoing Fellow Award, 2005.[11]
- Winner of EyeQuest, the official Quiz of AIOS (All India Ophthalmological Conference); 2007, for which she was felicitated by the then President of India, His Excellency Shri A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.[12]
- Dr. Jain is also a reviewer for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, the flagship journal of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS).[13]
