Vanj (Vandzh, Vanch; 38°22′23″N 71°27′19″E / 38.37306°N 71.45528°E, 1722 m) is the capital of the Vanj district in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province, Tajikistan. Vanj lies on the lower course of the Vanj River, a tributary of the Panj, separated from the Yazgulyam River to the south by the Vanj Range.
