Vazhappally is a suburb of Changanasserry. It is one of the earliest settlements in the state of Kerala, India. "Malayalam", the language of Kerala, writing first appeared about 830 AD. Vazhappally is one of the cradles of Kerala Civilization. The famous Vazhappally Maha Siva Temple is situated here in the center of the Vazhappally. St.marys cathedral church situated in vazhapally west village.
