Veerannapeta (Telugu: వీరన్నపేట) or Veerannapet is a village and gram panchayat in Kondurg mandal of Mahbubnagar district in Telangana, India.
It is located about 7 kilometers from Kondurg and 39 kilometers from Mahbubnagar town.[1]
Demographics
According to Indian census, 2001, the demographic details of this village is as follows:[2]
- Total Population: 1,850 in 355 Households.
- Male Population: 958 and Female Population: 892
- Children Under 6-years of age: 318 (Boys - 168 and Girls - 150)
- Total Literates: 540
Features
- Veerannapet is a Gram panchayat since 1996. The first Sarpanch was Pittala Chennaiah held the post till 2006. The present sarpanch is Diviti Balamma
- There are two temples: Yellamma temple and Shivalayam. Shri G. Prakash has contributed for the construction of Yellamma temple in 2008. Shivalayam was constructed by Gudipalli Chandraiah.
- There are two reservoirs: Toorpu cheruvu and Padamara cheruvu.
