Veerappan (None Like Him Ever Existed) is an upcoming Indian biographical film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, based on the life of Indian bandit Veerappan, and the events leading to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill Veerappan.[1][2][3] The film is slated for a worldwide release on 27 May 2016.[4]
Plot
The Story revolves around the search of Veerappan by a group of Police Officers headed by Kannan. The film begins directly with the planning of Operation Cocoon. This was a mission headed by the commander of Tamil Nadu Special Task Force, Vijay Kumar, who masterminded the final assault on Veerappan. The plot tracks the team's attempts to Corner Veerappan. The goal is clear - Veerappan has to be lured out of the forest, will Kanna be successful in his mission and will he be able to find Veerappan.

Production
Pratik Vijay Redij is the production designer for the film. Following the rave reviews, and success of Ram Gopal Varma's second docudrama, Killing Veerappan, Varma met with Sachiin J Joshi, and emphasized his interest to develop an international biopic version in Hindi language with new cast and crew. The biopic depicts the dramatic rise of Veerappan.[5][6][7]
Release
The film is slated to release worldwide on May 27, 2016. The first look was released on 15 April 2016, and the official trailer was released on 18 April 2016.[8][9] The film is a biopic on Veerappan, and not a remake of Kannada super-hit Killing Veerappan.[10]
