Veggie Grill is a fast-casual vegan restaurant chain that operates in California, Oregon, and Washington. Based in Santa Monica, California, the corporation operated 26 restaurants as of November 2013.[1][2] The first Veggie Grill opened in 2007 in Irvine, California.[3] The chain focuses on menu offering only plant-based food, with no meat, dairy, eggs, cholesterol, animal fat or trans fat.[4]
In 2013 the company raised $20 million in capital, mainly from Brentwood Associates, and announced plans to double their number of stores in 18 months.
