Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen
Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen is a Finnish Pentecostal theologian. He is Professor of Systematic Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Kärkkäinen has degrees from Fuller, the University of Jyväskylä, and the University of Helsinki.[1] Prior to joining the faculty at Fuller in 2000, he served as president of Iso Kirja Bible College in Keuruu, Finland.
Kärkkäinen has written textbooks on pneumatology, ecclesiology, and christology. He has completed three volumes of a projected five-volume series called Constructive Christian Theology for the Church in the Pluralistic World. According to Amos Yong, he is "fast becoming one of the more important theologians to be reckoned with in our time."[2]
Kärkkäinen also serves as Docent of Ecumenics at the University of Helsinki.[3] He is a minister of the Full Gospel Churches of Finland.[4]
