The Venezuelan tyrannulet (Zimmerius improbus) is a species of bird in the Tyrannidae family. It is found in Colombia and Venezuela. It is sometimes split into two species: Specious tyrannulet (Z. improbus) in north-east Colombia and north-west Venezuela and Venezuelan tyrannulet (Z. petersi) in northern Venezuela.
