Venkatadripuram is a small village in Nuzvid mandal. It is nearly 5 kilometers from Nuzvid, On the way of Tiruvuru. The Village has nearly 1000 population and total Voters are 520. This is an Agriculture based village and composed of a lot many small and middle class formers.

History

This Village built 20th century at 1922. The village has 100 years old. It is under panchayati of Annavaram.

The Village Founder Sri Chalasani Mallikarjunudu belongs from Neppal Vuyyuru Mandal, built a foundation stone in this Village. He gathered some other families from various places of Krishna. The Great Meka Venkatadri Apprao Jamindhar of Vuyyuru eloted 50 ekors of land to this village. Then the Village has called as Venkatadripuram on the name of Raja Venkatadri Apparao.

Sri Sunkara Rajayya from Ponukumadu came to this village and he constructed a house and Dharma Satrava(Inn) in this village, after that the village has called as Satrava Annavarm and Kotta Annavaram.

in 1931 Chalasani Rajagopal Rao was well known freedom fighter from this village, participate in 1931 to 1933 independence moment and he arrested at the movement. Then the village had populared from that Independence moment. Sri Bobba Venkateswara Rao also arrested at that moment in 1950. He Participated in "Telangana Armed Strugle"(Anti Nizam Moment).

Geography

A Pond has located called as Kavati Cheruvu in the eastern side of village, western side an area of 152 ekors forest land covered with hills. This land distributed to land less poor in 1985.

Vinayaka Chavithi Festival

Venkatadripuram People celebrated Vinyaka Chavithi every year and put the Lord Ganesh Idol(height 10 feet) at the center of the village. From The Bigining of Vinayaka Chavithi people have done pooja to Ganesh Idol for Nine Days. After Nine Days people get together to siniking Ganesh in nearest pond Called as Kavidi Cheruvu.
