Venus Concept is a private company,[1] that develops, manufactures, and markets medical devices and skin care for the aesthetic medicine industry. Its product line includes devices for skin tightening,[2] wrinkle treatment, lipolysis, and skin rejuvenation. The company is headquartered in Toronto, Canada, and operates internationally in over 50 countries. Among the companies with which Venus Concept competes are Lumenis, Zeltiq Aesthetics, Cutera, Solta Medical,[3] Syneron, Cynosure, and Palomar Medical Technologies.[4][5]
Corporate history
Founded in 2009 by Domenic Serafino[6] and Oded Ron-Edoute, Venus Concept was the first company to receive FDA approval for its technology of pairing Radio Frequency with Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy.
