Veselin Marinov is a Bulgarian singer. He was born of 4 August 1961 in the town of Polski Trambesh, near Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.

Biography

His full name is Veselin Stefanov Marinov (in Bulgarian: Веселин Стефанов Маринов). He was born in the family of Stefan Marinov and Yordanka Marinova. Veselin has a brother, Marin Marinov (born in 1955) who has two daughters. Veselin has one daughter - Yoana.

Career

Veselin started his involvement with music when he was in the 7th grade. Veselin started to play and sing in a school group. In 1981 he was asked to start working like a vocal in the Bulgarian band Impuls. His first appearance was on 2 December 1982 in Vidin, Bulgaria. The band produced progressive rock music, and their first song with Marinov on vocals was "Midnight music". The first song which was composed by Marinov himself was "You came". In 1983 he graduated the Pop Music Department in the class of Petar Dimitrov. In 1984 Veselin underwent two operations of the vocal cords and left Impuls. In 1987 year his first album, "From love", was released.

Marinov's songs became popular in the 90's. In this period he won many awards. The songs "Bitter wine" (bulg. "Горчиво вино") and "For you, Bulgaria" (bulg. "За теб, Българийо") became hits. Since 2007 Veselin Marinov appears in Christmas concerts every year.
