The 12105/12106 Vidarbha Express is a super fast express train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Mumbai CST and Gondia in Maharashtra. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 12105 from Mumbai CST to Gondia and as train number 12106 in the reverse direction.

The 12105/12106 Vidarbha Express initially ran between Mumbai CST & Nagpur and was later extended to Gondia. It is a daily service covering the distance of 967 km in 16 hours as 2105 & 16 hours 05 mins as 12106 giving an average of 60.44 km/hr in both directions.
Routing
12105/12106 Vidarbha Express runs from Mumbai CST via Kalyan, Igatpuri, Manmad, Bhusawal, Akola, Badnera, Nagpur to Gondia.
Traction
Dual traction WCAM 3 locos would haul the train between Mumbai CST & Igatpuri after which a Bhusawal WAP 4 would take over for the remainder on the journey. It has banker engines attached between Kasara & Igatpuri.
With Central Railways having completed the changeover from DC to AC traction, it is now hauled end to end by a Bhusaval based WAP 4.
Trivia
The Vidarbha Express is so named as it initially plied to Nagpur which falls in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
Although the official railway time table provides for a 5 & 1 min halt at Igatpuri, it is actually closer to 15 mins as engines are swapped at Igatpuri.
Thane is not a halt when it plies as 12105 Vidarbha Express.
Operation
12105 Vidarbha Express leaves Mumbai CST every day and reaches the Gondia the next day.
On return, the 12106 Vidarbha Express leaves Gondia every day and reaches Mumbai CST the next day.
