Videx
For the HIV drug of the same name, see Didanosine.
Videx is a manufacturer of computer hardware such as access control products and data collection terminals. Better known in the 1980s as manufacturer of Videx VideoTerm (80 column display card) and Videx UltraTerm (80/132 column display card) add-on expansion card for Apple II computers. These products became obsolete when Apple released Apple IIe with most of the 80 column card hardware already built-in - only the necessary extra RAM for the larger screen was still on a plug-in card which was consequently much simpler and cheaper than the Videx VideoTerm.
Videx also produced software, including Desktop Calendar for the Apple Lisa.
