Vilasrao Narayan Jagtap

Vilasrao Narayan Jagtap is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Jath Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party[1] He has been president of Sangli District Central Co-operative Bank Limited, between August, 2007 and December, 2009.[2]

Controversy

Jagtap was removed from the Nationalist Congress Party for campaigning against the candidate his party allied with during the Lok Sabha elections in April, 2014.[3] In May, 2015 Jagtap was accused of being an agent of wind turbine companies and acting against the interests of farmers.[4]
