Villosiclava is a genus of fungus in the Clavicipitaceae family. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Villosiclava virens. Villosiclava virens, also known by the name of its anamorph Ustilaginoidea virens, is a rice pathogen which causes the false smut disease.[1]
