Viorel Oancea (born 8 December 1944 in Brașov) is a Romanian politician. Viorel Oancea was a member of PCR in the 1979-1989 period.[1] In 1992 he was voted mayor of Timișoara. In 1996 he ran again for mayor but lost to Gheorghe Ciuhandu.
