Vision Direct Group Ltd is an online optical retailer that sells contact lenses, solutions and eye care products. The company is based in the United Kingdom, with websites in Italy, Belgium, France, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain.
History
The company was founded in 2004 as Optical Partners plc (unlisted), a small High Street retail business headed by Michael Kraftman.[1] In 2014 it rebranded itself from GetLenses.[2]
Advertising
In 2015 Vision Direct ran a £2 m TV advertising campaign.[3] Vision Direct's 2015 Christmas campaign featured a short sighted pug named Gizmo, who had been having trouble with his glasses.[4][5]
