Vivaldi Technologies was founded in 2014 by Jon von Tetzchner and Tatsuki Tomita.[1]

Vivaldi Browser

Vivaldi Technologies released the Vivaldi browser as a Tech Preview on January 27, 2015. The Vivaldi browser is aimed at power users who want to do more with their browser rather than using extensions.[2][3]

On October 28, 2015, Vivaldi Browser (YouTube channel) posted two videos, one called "Choices" and the other one called "Why Are We Making a Browser?". "Why Are We Making a Browser?" was allegedly filmed inside the Innovation House in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[4]

On April 6, 2016, Vivaldi Technologies released Vivaldi 1.0, the first stable release of Vivaldi.[5]

M3 Mail Client

The developers of Vivaldi have hinted that they will include a Built-In mail client within Vivaldi.[6]

Workspaces

The company has a workspace in the Innovation House in Gloucester, MA[7] and the Innovation House in Reykjavík.[8] They also have developers in Oslo, Helsinki and many other destinations.[9]
