Vladimir Victorovich Mirgorod (Russian: Владимир Владимирович Миргород; born July 28, 1979) is a Russian serial killer and rapist who was convicted of killing 16 people.
Biography
Vladimir Mirgorod was born in Moscow, Russia in 1979. Mirgorod attended the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys.
From 2002 to 2004, Mirgorod strangled 15 women and one teenage boy to death. Several of the victims had been raped. He had been imprisoned from January 2005 to July 2010 for the rape and robbery of a woman. He was later rearrested after his fingerprints matched those that were found at the crimes scenes.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment on January 30, 2012.[1]
