Você Decide (You Decide/It's Your Call) was an interactive television program aired by Brazilian Rede Globo between 1992 and 2000. In each episode viewers chose the ending by calling in.

Personnel

Show directors included Roberto Talma, Herval Rossano, Fabio Sabag, Andre Schultz, Mario Marcio Bandarra and Roberto Farias.

Several actors and presenters appeared such as Antônio Fagundes, Tony Ramos, Walmor Chagas, Lima Duarte, Raul Cortez, Susana Werner, Carolina Ferraz, Renata Ceribelli, Celso Freitas and Luciano Szafir. They all stayed for more an extended period.

Reception

Some episodes were aired as reruns from 2 to 20 July 2001, in an attempt to increase the number of viewers, which had declined from the previous year. However, ratings lagged - a few episodes almost came in third place behind the SBT and Record. In addition, Rede Globo was under pressure from the Public Ministry for original episodes. Given the failure of Você Decide, in the second week of reruns the station reintroduced the 6 o'clock drama from 1985: A Gata Comeu, which recovered viewership that Globo had lost.

Você Decide is the second longest-running series of TV Globo, with nine seasons and 323 episodes.

History

In its final years, the program aired on Thursday nights shortly after the Linha Direta. The last episode aired on August 17, 2000. The following week the program was replaced with the miniseries Aquarela do Brasil (Watercolors of Brazil in English). Brazilian soap opera stars participated in the episodes. Some actors participated in about eight episodes.

In Portugal, RTP 1 ran some episodes at the beginning of the 1990s, but it was unsuccessful.
