Volkswind GmbH belongs to the leading Independent Power Producers in Europe and with over 40 wind farms is one of the largest operators of wind farms in Germany.[1] The company was founded in 1993 by Martin Daubner and Matthias Stommel, former Enercon employees. Companies headquarters is based in Ganderkesee, Germany, and has worldwide subsidiaries in France, England, Poland, Bulgaria and USA.

The company develops and finances, builds and operates renewable energy wind power plants.
