Volt & State is a Dutch DJ and production duo from Amsterdam, consisting of Martijn Kouwen and Quirijn Smits.[1]
Besides Protocol Recordings, the duo released several singles since 2014 including: "Rush",[2] "Black & White" with Merk & Kremont[3] and "Warriors" with Nicky Romero.[4] The latter was an international success, and reached the 8th place in the top 100 on the downloading platform Beatport.
On June 27, 2015, during the 150th episode of Nicky Romero's podcast Protocol Radio, a new single "Sandcastles" was released and played live by the duo, whose output is due soon on the label.[5]
