Voltari (NASDAQ: VLTC) is a commercial real estate business. It was formerly a provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology[1] After Carl Icahn acquired a controlling interest in the company, it ceased its mobile advertising business in August 2015.[2]
Voltari was formed in August 2012.[3]

History
Voltari was formed in August 2012 as an operating business of Motricity. On April 10, 2013 upon completion of reorganization, Motricity became a wholly owned subsidiary of Voltari, which replaced Motricity as a publicly held corporation. Shares of Voltari common stock commenced trading on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol "VLTC" (formerly MOTR).[4]
