History

WCHK was established on April 11, 1957, under the ownership of McClure Broadcasting. It featured classic country music and local programming. The station's original FM simulcast, WCHK-FM 105.5, is now WRDA 105.7. (Originally owned by McClure, it now belongs to Clear Channel.) A second WCHK-FM is now WNSY FM 100.1.

After the death of owner Chuck McClure, an acquisition was made by Davis Broadcasting in January, 2007. After the acquisition, WCHK went silent, before returning in February 2008, as a simulcast of WLKQ-FM (102.3) and WNSY-FM (100.1), with a Regional Mexican format. The station would broadcast its current format in 2013.
