WDSD (94.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Dover, Delaware. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. It airs a country music format.[1]
In addition to country music, WDSD does carry some sporting events. WDSD broadcasts NASCAR races, and is the flagship station for University of Delaware athletics. Some UD events are broadcast on their sister station, The Ticket 1290 in Wilmington.
The station has been assigned these call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since September 7, 2007, when it swapped with sister station WRDX.[2]
