Financial History
WHNR - La Poderosa is under chapter 11 with La Poderosa LLC of Carlos Guerrero and GB Enterprises DBA La Poderosa of Martin Santos. In short WHNR has a bankruptcy judgement against the sole owner Martin Santos for 48k. It looks like Martin Santos was trying to transfer the station to FSSC for $1000. He almost got away with it. But, someone noticed and screamed to the bankruptcy judge who has ordered the station assets seized and a receiver appointed for the license and assets.Regional Mexican “La Poderosa 1360” WHNR,has been turned over to a receiver after a Florida court issued a $48,020 judgment against Martin Santos. Broker George Reed will oversee the station while he searches for a buyer.Santos had filed to sell WHNR to Florida Spanish Communications last November for $1,000 but after first approving the transfer, the FCC last week reversed course after learning of the receivership.
GB ENTERPRISES COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION has been fined $10,500. for failure to fence off the tower and maintain a complete public file at Urban AC-Spanish WHNR-A (POWER 1360/LA PODEROSA)/WINTER HAVEN, FL. The station's public file was missing the manual "The Public and Broadcasting" and the station's quarterly issues/programs lists.
