WOAB
WOAB (104.9 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Ozark, Alabama, USA. The station, which first signed on in 1967, is still owned and operated by original license holder Ozark Broadcasting Corporation.
WOAB broadcasts an oldies format as a simulcast with AM sister station WOZK.[2]
History
WOAB signed on the air on July 9, 1967, with 2,850 watts of effective radiated power on 104.9 MHz.[1] Owned by the Ozark Broadcasting Company, this new FM station signed on as a separately-programmed sister station to WOZK (900 AM).[1] The station aired a primarily country music format through the 1970s.
