WXK92 is a NOAA Weather Radio station that serves portions of central Kansas. It is programmed from the National Weather Service Wichita, Kansas with its transmitter located in Ellsworth, Kansas. It broadcasts weather and hazard information for the following counties in Kansas: Barton, Ellsworth, Lincoln, McPherson, Rice, Russell, and Saline.
Prior to 1994, this station was operated by the National Weather Service in Concordia, Kansas, until that office closed down, at which time, the Wichita Weather Office assumed responsibility for providing weather information for central Kansas and took control of WXK92's programming
