Waßmannsdorf is a future railway station that will serve the homonym village, part of the municipality of Schönefeld, Germany, located just outside Berlin.

History

The station was projected in 2007 as part of a project that will be see the merging of Berlin Schönefeld Airport into the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Located on a new S-Bahn extension between the stations of Schönefeld and the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport, Waßmannsdorf station is almost completed. Due to delays in the completion of the new airport project, station's opening is still unsure.

Structure and transport

Waßmannsdorf station, located just outside the village centre and next to Selchow, has two platforms, each with a square building with a wide glass window.[2] It will be served by the S-Bahn lines S45 and S9.[3][4]
