Walt Newland was the head college football coach for the College of Emporia Presbies for the 1946 season. The school had ceased football competition at the conclusion of the 1942 season due to the United States participation in World War II.[1] Newland completed the season (and his coaching career) with a record of 1 win and 8 losses.[2]
