Walter A. McDaniel is an American comic book comic book penciler who has contributed for such titles as Deadpool, Wolverine, Deathlok, Spider-Man, and Batman.[1]

Personal life

Walter A. McDaniel was born January 7, 1971[2] and raised at West Harlem of New York City. He married three times, and has 2 kids.

Career

McDaniel landed his first professional job at the age of 16 when he began working at Prometheus Productions. While attending high school at John F. Kennedy High School, he was storyboarding and doing layout and design work on advertising campaigns for companies such as Avon, Lancome, Macy's, and CNN. After graduating, he began his career in the comic industry with a stint at Continuity Comics, where he did both commercial and comic book art. He majored in Illustration and Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He worked as a contract artist for Marvel Comics from 1991 to 1992, Image Comics from 1995-1997, and DC Comics from 1997-1998. As the comics industry had collapsed, he left the comics industry and joined the toy industry to design toys.

Between jobs, He has taught life drawing classes at the Children's School of Arts, and continues to tutor young aspiring artists. After the bankcruptcy of many manjor comic houses in US, he moved to Hong Kong and Japan for toy designs. In 2012 He signed into a contract with Dracco toys to help them design toy animations.
